Gotta love Davy Crockett! We do like San Antonio. It has been fantastic staying here the past few months and hanging out with our oldest daughter, her husband, and our fantastic grandson. Living full-time in an RV allows you to spend time with family that would otherwise be impossible.
We stayed at a Harvest Host, The Alamo Beer Company, for our final night in the area. Located right downtown and with optional electric hook-ups, the large parking lot makes it a great place to stay to see San Antonio. We, however, just wanted to enjoy some great food, play on the mini football field, and hear the live music. We recommend the loaded tots, and there are plenty of beer options from which to choose.
Even though it is along the freeway and train tracks (which are very active), we slept well. The parking lot is gated, and we were given the code to leave in the morning. You may choose to stay longer for $20 per night. We will definitely be back for a visit if we are back in town.
