In Elmira, New York (the burial place of Mark Twain, by the way), there is a cute establishment called Upstate Brewery. This was one of our Harvest Host stays. We enjoy meeting new people, and this stay provided a chance for Jason to geek out a bit with other tech-type folks who happened to be there. Another couple was staying there in their Winnebago camper van. He was a retired IT guy from ESPN, and she was a real estate agent. They had just started their full-time van life about nine-week prior.

Some gentlemen came out of the brewery while we were chatting with the Winnebago duo, and we were able to provide tours of our Airstream and see the inside of the Winnebago. One of the gentlemen owned a computer repair shop, so Jason and he had plenty to chat about. The other guy owned a landscaping company.

After chatting a bit, it was time to grab some food. Upstate Brewery does not sell food, but they do invite food trucks to park. They have a calendar of which food truck will be parked in the lot, and during our stay, it was Something to Taco Bout. We ordered and took our food into the brewery. Jason ordered a flight of beers and decided that the Upstate IPA was the best. I went with their blueberry one as I am not much of a beer fan.

It turned out to be a cool and quiet night (sometimes that is not the case at Harvest Hosts in the city), and we enjoyed some well-deserved rest after the long and bumpy road trip. In the morning, we were off to the next stop on our summer adventure, Alpine Lakes RV in Corinth, New York.
