I think we were smarter in the 60s. I say that because we were able to put a man on the moon in a very short period of time, and rocket scientists still look back and wonder how we did it. Things were not written down; if they were, they weren’t saved. I am glad that Elon Musk and SpaceX are in the game and are advancing rocket technology.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex is a monument to our spaceflight achievements. The size and scale of the Saturn V moon rocket can not be expressed in words. You need to stand next to it to appreciate its massive size. I grew up in the era of the shuttle program and loved seeing the space shuttle Atlantis and hearing from an astronaut.

Sadly, during our visit, a rocket launch was scrubbed. I guess that means we have a reason to go back.
