Sparacia-Witherell Family Winery is much more than a winery (although their wine is bottled offsite). A family winery that sells beer, snacks, cigars, and various muscadine and fruit wines, Sparacia-Witherell Family Winery has its roots in Italy and boasts a passion for good things.

When I think of a winery, I think of vineyards and extensive processing facilities. Sparacia-Witherell Family Winery feels more like someone’s man-cave where people go to have a good time. Don’t get me wrong, the cranberry and strawberry wines were excellent, but it was not a typical winery experience.

Due to an issue with their septic system, we could only do a wine tasting and purchase bottles to go. It was forbidden to sit on the furniture outside, but having our own chairs was a gray area for the health department, so we sat under our awning and sipped away. There was a cool breeze, and we slept well. I definitely want more of that cranberry wine.
